Dentolegal Consultant Sue Boynton

Dentolegal expertise

Do you need someone on your side and in your corner? Someone who listens and understands?

In these extremely challenging times it’s always good to know that support is available. I know the pressures and frustrations of dental practice, because I’ve been there.

Even before Covid-19 dentists and dental teams were becoming increasingly concerned about regulation, patient complaints and claims, administration, and patient expectations. It can seem never ending, and now Covid-19 is having a significant impact.

As an Independent Dentolegal Consultant and Complaint Expert I’m here to help. With over 20 years experience in primary care dentistry, along with over 20 years dentolegal experience I understand the issues. Whatever you need –  advice, support or training – I’m on your side!

How can I help you?

As a former dentist myself I know that despite your best efforts Complaints, Claims, and GDC issues can occur, and I understand just how stressful, frustrating and time sensitive they can be.

When you run into difficulties you need someone who will listen to you,  analyse your situation, provide clear thinking, and advise on a strategic way forward. That’s what I do. At the same time I understand the impact the issue can have your personal life as well as your professional life.

If you need risk management support, remediation support, or advice and assistance with an individual issue from an Independent Dentolegal Consultant who is knowledgeable, sympathetic and supportive, you can rely on me. You might need a One to One, or a Mastermind. I’m always on your side and in your corner.

About Sue Boynton

I began building my dentolegal knowledge, expertise and experience in 2000 when I joined Dental Protection as a local adviser. I then progressed to a Dentolegal adviser, Senior Dentolegal Adviser, and Head of Dental Protection Services for Ireland. I also became the international and UK Complaint knowledge expert.

Over the years I have achieved a Master’s Degree in Medical Law, a Fellowship from the Faculty of General Dental Practice, a Fellowship from the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine, and I am also an NLP Master.

In the course of my work as an Independent Dentolegal Consultant I lecture widely,  publish articles and contribute to e-learning initiatives,  as well as working with individual dentists, dental teams, and dental organisations.

As well as being a professional speaker, I share my expertise with a number of working groups including the Profession-wide Complaints Handling Initiative and I am a member of the National Advisory Board for Human Factors in Dentistry.

People often say that what resonates with them is that I communicate complex issues in an understandable way, and I share risk management information with passion and enthusiasm.

I enjoy what I do, and I am well known for providing practical, relevant, workable solutions to dentolegal issues. Don’t just take my word for it – you can read my reviews here.
